1. Insomnia

Insomnia is a very common sleep disorder characterized by the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep. This disorder often brings about depression, weight gain, irritability, and impaired performance at school and work.

Adults should be getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night, this changes depending on the age of the person. Those dealing with insomnia do not get enough sleep each night and should seek help from their doctor if they feel they have insomnia because it can make a negative impact on one’s life.

2. Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that causes a person to momentarily stop breathing in their sleep. This can be extremely dangerous for those who have it because they may not be getting enough oxygen during the night. Most people dealing with sleep apnea will wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air because they stopped.

Most people don’t remember the occurrences of waking up each night when they have this disorder. They often feel fatigued and irritable during the day, putting their school and work life at risk.

3. Restless Leg Syndrome

If you feel irritable during the day and have a lack of concentration you may what to figure out if you struggle from this issue. Many times, those dealing with restless leg syndrome have the urge to stand up and get out some energy and stretch.

Getting the proper amount of rest, and good quality is extremely important when trying to live a good life. Sleep disorders can affect the best of us and bring us to our knees from exhaustion, making it feel like we are stuck in a nightmare.
